Happy #ChocolateCoveredRaisinsDay!!

Jesus Christ, talk about a disgusting “treat”. Why would you waste deliciously valuable chocolate by covering it in raisins?

I guess if you never tried these shit covered treats today is the day to do so…I’m not a fan of raisins to begin with, unlike a certain FAM message board user, Friendlydood, who would love to do an entire podcast dedicated to the raisin.

Chocolate covered raisins got there fame by being sold in movie cinemas, which quickly became a popular treat.

More then 1 million chocolate covered raisins are produced a day…Jesus Christ that’s a lot of chocolate covered raisins.

In some countries chocolate covered raisins are known as Raisinets. The biggest manufacturer of chocolate covered raisins is Nestle. They are the third largest selling candy in US history. They were first introduced in the United States in 1927 and Nestle started manufacturing them in 1984.

Raisins are an excellent source of calcium, potassium, iron, fiber and vitamin B.
