FAM’s NFL Kings Of The Hill Divisional Weekend Recap

NFL Kings Of The Hill Divisional Weekend

By Bruce Harris

The Divisional Round is usually the best weekend of the football season and this year’s did not disappoint! Now let’s crown some asses!

AFC Dvisional Games

Patriots 35 – Titans 14

The only trouble Bill Belichick had on Saturday night while his Patriots dismantled the Tennessee Titans was with the challenge flag.

But now the Pats are one game away from another Super Bowl (Crown Em!) and the Titans are looking for a new head coach. I’ve been telling you guys all season that the Patriots are going to repeat as champions and there’s no reason for me to doubt them now.

Jaguars 45 – Steelers 42

No one besides myself believed in the Jaguars. I called them winning this game by 3 (although I predicted it would be much lower scoring). They are peaking at the right time and are honestly the second best team left in the tournament. If they can pull another improbable upset Sunday in Foxboro they’ll be in position to bring home the trophy to Jaxhole. They won’t, don’t worry.

The Steelers under Mike Tomlin usually look like Tarzan in the regular season then play like Jane in the playoffs. That said, Big Ben showed no quit as he lead a comeback that fell just short.

First ballot hall of famer and possibly the best player to ever wear the black and gold, which is saying alot, since they’ve had more great players than just about any other franchise. Crown Him!

NFC Divisional Games

Eagles 15 – Falcons 10

Philadelphia won a sloppy game, thanks in big part to Matt Ryan doing Matt Ryan things at the end.

But it doesn’t matter how you get it done, and now the Eagles will host the NFC Championship game and the Falcons will go home to lick their wounds again.

Vikings 29 – Saints 24

Welp. This is one of those rare “you’ll always remember where you were” type of endings and its the reason that we will always love sports.

Walk off Touchdown! Congrats, Vikings fans! Enjoy this one while you can, but I think the run ends on Sunday…the ghost of Prince won’t be there in Philly to help you again.

The Saints will be back in the playoffs next year and will try to make one more play than they did this season.
