FirstAndMonday’s MLB Player of the Day for Monday, April 13th, 2015
It was a pretty special night for Chicago Cubs rookie outfielder Jorge Soler. The 23 year old Cuban homered twice and scored the winning run to cap off the Cubs 7-6, come from behind win over the Reds. He also had an outfield assist when he threw Reds shortstop Zack Cozart out at third in the 2nd inning. So far on the young season, the rookie is hitting .304.
It was no doubt a special game and a special night for the rookie, who was pushed from the Cubs dugout following his second home run for a curtain call from the Wrigley Field faithful.
